A Note From The Owner: Why I’m Thankful

Oct 25, 2020

I’m thinking about what I am thankful for because it’s that time of year. It helps because the shorter, colder days challenge my mood. Specifically, I am thinking about the animal hospital. I am happy to have furry patients, wonderful clientele, and a career that is enjoyable after 20 years.

Our pets are members of our family, more than ever. They bring so much love and enjoyment to our lives. Taking care of them is important. It is rewarding to be able to help prevent health issues for them, treat illnesses to get them well and keep them feeling good for a long life. It is meaningful to keep them healthy as an impact on the family’s health and the general public’s as well. It’s not all playing with puppies and kittens but getting to do that makes for a good day!

Hendersonville is a great place. I grew up here and moved home after college because this is where I wanted to be. People here are nice and they take great care of their pets! It is a pleasure being able to practice veterinary medicine in a town where owners respect the lives of their animals and do what they can to make sure they are well cared for. This is a blessing. I am very appreciative of our clients.

Work is work at some points. Paying the bills, managing the business is necessary. Unfortunately, there is more to it than examining and treating patients. I cannot think of anything else I would rather do every day and be able to provide for a family. I do not take for granted that our community trusts our knowledge and staff to handle the medical needs of their pets. I am appreciative of a staff that works very hard to accomplish this goal. We want to provide this service for many years to come.

We continue to grow as veterinary professionals and a practice as the needs and medicine for animals’ change. Having a career that continues to challenge us is a blessing.

So, thank you, for yourselves, your animals and your trust in our animal hospital! Happy Thanksgiving!
